CONTEST RULES
1. Eligibility
• Anyone can apply to participate in the Vibe Coding Contest
• Contestants must be able to join the livestream on the specified date and time
• Participants must be able to speak English and communicate during the event
• Contestants must be able to share their screen while building
• All participants compete individually with their chosen AI coding tool
• Contestants must have a stable internet connection, working camera, and microphone
2. Application Process
• Applications close on October 21, 2025
• Submitting the registration form is a request to join, not a guarantee of participation
• Selected contestants will be notified via email before the event
• Submission must include a video demo (max 3 minutes) of a previously vibe-coded application
• If not selected, you may be chosen for future rounds
3. Permitted Tools
Allowed:
• Web-based AI coding tools: Lovable, Bolt, v0, Replit Agent, Nut.new, etc.
• Auxiliary tools: Midjourney, ChatGPT, or other tools for design, prompts, or research
Not Allowed:
• Desktop tools like Cursor or Claude Code
• Manual code editing - the application must be unquestionably built with your chosen tool
• The contest organizers will not pay for tools or credits - contestants are responsible for ensuring they have sufficient tokens/credits
4. Contest Format
• The contest will be livestreamed on October 27, 2025
• Less than 10 contestants will compete
• The assignment and acceptance criteria will be announced at the start of the livestream
• Contestants have 60 minutes to complete the assignment
• Deployed applications must be submitted to judges before time expires
• Moderators may check in on contestants during the event
• The assignment is revealed only at the start to prevent advance preparation
5. Judging Criteria
Applications are evaluated on three criteria with a maximum of 40 points total:
• Completeness/Functionality (20 points): How well the app meets acceptance criteria with working features
• Design (10 points): Aesthetics, user experience, and visual appeal
• Creativity (10 points): Going above and beyond the requirements
• Judges will evaluate and announce scores for each criterion
• Winners will be announced live during the event

7. Cheating & Fair Play
The following actions will result in immediate disqualification:
• Preparing code or applications before the assignment is announced
• Using prohibited tools or manually editing code
• Sabotaging other contestants
• Faking functionality or submitting pre-built applications
• Any form of cheating or unfair advantage
We are committed to maintaining fairness and transparency throughout the event.
8. Technical Requirements
• Stable internet connection sufficient for video calls
• Device with working camera and microphone
• Ability to screen share during the competition
• Access to chosen AI coding tool with sufficient credits/tokens

10. Agreement
By applying to participate in the Vibe Coding Contest, you agree to:
• Abide by all rules and regulations outlined above
• Accept the judges' decisions as final
• Participate in good faith and maintain fair play
• Allow the streaming and recording of your participation
